Supramolecular assembly of porphyrins and monoclonal antibodies

Journal Article · · Inorganic Chemistry

Assemblies of porphyrins on DNA are of potential catalytic interest. Hence, the authors studied the interactions of metalloporphyrins and porphyrins with the monoclonal antibody for meso-tetrakis(carboxyphenyl)porphine (TCPP). UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, emission spectroscopy, and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy were used for this investigation. These techniques suggest higher than one-to-one porphyrin-to-antibody ratios.
