This paper compares the C{sub 60} C KVV Auger line shape and {pi} band covalency to those of graphite and benzene to determine the core excited electronic states. Shakeup satellites are used to determine delocalization times of these core excited states relative to the core hole lifetime. Based on these, C {sub 60} appears to have excitations that delocalize in times that are short relative to the core hole decay.
