The continuing North Korean nuclear crisis

The confrontation between North Korea and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) over the right to fully inspect Pyongyang`s nuclear facilities has continued for over a year now. Recent diplomatic activities and statements have prompted a new look at the ongoing crisis. On May 5 the Arms Control Association (ACA) held a news conference to examine North Korea`s refusal to abide by its commitments under the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and to assess recent developments.
