Results of module and system testing at NREL
- National Renewable Energy Laboratory 1617 Cole Blvd Golden, Colorado 80401 (United States)
This paper presents performance data on the long-term outdoor testing of amorphous silicon ({ital a}-Si), copper indium diselenide (CIS), and cadmium telluride (CdTe) modules undergoing performance testing at the Outdoor Test Site at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) over the past several years [1]. The paper also presents data on several of the emerging and commercial PV technology systems being monitored at NREL over the past few years [2,3]. Outdoor tests are an important consideration in evaluating and assessing performance and reliability{emdash}especially for the advanced, potentially low-cost thin-film technologies. {copyright} {ital 1996 American Institute of Physics.}
