CWM production in China and CWM properties in all stages from production to combustion in the world`s first bilateral CWM trade

The middle-scale Production Plant of Yanri CWM Co., LTD. in China, whose construction started in spring, 1991 and completed a year later, put the CWM product in the distribution system as a commodity of bilateral trade, for the first time in the world. Approximately 40,000 tons of CWM product for one year from the beginning (production capacity : 250,000 t/y) is shipped on board on oceangoing tanker for exclusive use (5,000 DWT), and after being received in the relay terminal (in Japan, 10,000 ki tank), it is shipped to users on board coastal-liner (700 DWT), to be used as fuel for the boiler (in Japan, consumption : 7.3t/h). In the operation of CWM Chain of more than 1,800km overall from the Coal Mine up to the end use during the recent one year, the CWM is highly appreciated by the CWM user because of its ease of handling and combustibility, though there were a few troubles in the beginning. While the demand for energy is ever-increasing, a full-fledged foundation for intentional distribution of CWM has been established. This fact will not only contribute to Japan but also to the entire world, for the diversification of energy sources. Rapid progress of CWM as a safe and new form of energy is expected in the future.
