New photovoltaic translation equations have been developed for translating the I-V performance characteristics from one temperature and irradiance condition to another such condition. Equations are given for translating I{sub ac}, V{sub oc}, P{sub max} and the entire family of {ital I}{sub 1} and {ital V}{sub {ital i}} data point pairs which together comprise the complete I-V curve. {copyright} {ital 1996 American Institute of Physics.}
