We discuss the phenomenology of a light U(1) gauge boson, {gamma}{sub {ital B}}, that couples only to baryon number. We assume that the new U(1) gauge symmetry is spontaneously broken and that the {gamma}{sub {ital B}} mass {ital m}{sub {ital B}} is smaller than {ital m}{sub {ital Z}}. We show for {ital m}{sub {Upsilon}}{lt}{ital m}{sub {ital B}}{lt}{ital m}{sub {ital Z}} that the {gamma}{sub {ital B}} coupling {alpha}{sub {ital B}} can be as large as {similar_to}0.1 without conflicting with the current experimental constraints. We argue that {alpha}{sub {ital B}}{similar_to}0.1 is large enough to produce visible collider signatures and that evidence for the {gamma}{sub {ital B}} could be hidden in existing LEP data. We point out that {gamma}{sub {ital B}} exchange can account for rapidity gap events in {ital p}{minus}{ital {bar p}} scattering seen at the Tevatron.
