Inclusion of irreversibility on the fundamental level requires an extension of dynamics. This extension involves the consideration of the time evolution operator for probability densities in generalized functional spaces. In this setting time symmetry is broken and conditions on the probability distributions are imposed by the dynamics. The extension will be illustrated on a fully chaotic map displaying deterministic diffusion. The exact eigenmodes of the system in the extended representation are time-oriented transport modes.
