High-spin states in {sup 94}Tc and the shell-model interpretation

High-spin states in the {ital N}=51 nucleus {sup 94}Tc have been investigated with {gamma}-ray spectroscopic techniques following the reactions {sup 66}Zn({sup 31}P,2{ital pn}){sup 94}Tc and {sup 65}Cu({sup 36}S,{alpha}3{ital n}){sup 94}Tc. Shell-model calculations have been performed. The excitation of a single neutron across the {ital N}=50 core adequately describes the observed high-spin states in {sup 94}Tc.
