Nearly every day it seems that Enron Corp. adds still another project to its already far-flung energy portfolio, be it a pipeline in Argentina, LNG in Oman, or power plants in Poland, Mozambique, the Philippines, Vietnam and India. Divided into five divisions, Enron Oil and Gas Co., (EOG), Enron International (EI), Enron Capital and Trade Resources Corp. (ECT), enron Ventures Corp. (EVC), and Enron Gas Pipeline Group (GPG), it`s GPC that is the nerve center of the multi-billion-dollar natural gas/electricity empire. Pipeline and Gas Journal examines GPG as part of a series beginning with a wide-ranging interview with Stanley C. Horton, chairman and CEO of Enron GPG, who discusses corporate strategy including the pipeline construction market and the unprecedented restructuring that will forever change the way industry does business.
