Data for this periodic survey are authenticated three times a year by confidential letter survey to operating companies, licensors, engineering companies, and constructors. Changes between surveys are listed in the Feb. and Jun. issues; a complete listing of all active projects appears in Oct. editions. Construction projects in the US, Canada, other western hemisphere countries, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Far East, and Australasia are tabulated. Data include company name, plant site, project type, capacity, estimated cost, status, licensor, engineering firm, and construction company. Projects include refining processes, petroleum by-products, hydrogen, sulfur recovery, water treatment, natural gas plants, coal gasification, cogeneration, polymers, methanol, synthetic rubber, and fuel additives.
