Experimental determination of conditions for bubble nucleation and boiling inception in a binary mixture falling film is presented. The test tube was made of 38 mm OD stainless steel. The heated length was 3 m, and the falling film was on the outside surface of the test tube. Data were obtained for two different concentrations of glycerol-water mixtures, at system pressures varying from 25 to 434 mmHg, and film flow rates of 0.2 to 1.3 kg/m s with corresponding Reynolds numbers between 82--1,800. Experimental results showed increase in wall superheat for boiling inception with decreasing system pressure and flow rate, and with increasing concentration.
