Radiation chemistry of polymers; Radiatsionnaya khimiya polimerov (in Russian)

Book ·
OSTI ID:4454136
The latest achievements in the area of the radiation chemistry of polymers are discussed. Contemporary concepts on the mechanism of radiation chemical processes in different systems, structural changes, and the properties of polymer material under the influence of ionizing radiation are reported. The basic laws of radiation polymerization in the liquid state at low temperatures and in two-phase eutectic systems and polymerization in the solid state are examined. The general characteristics of the processes of radiation grafting polymerization and the regularity of the grafts in the gaseous phase are discussed. The radiation chemical conversion of polyolefin is described. The characteristics of the thermal oxidation of radiation modified polyolefins are discussed. The basic radiation chemical effects in elastomers are examined. Reversible radiation effects in polymers are considerd. (tr-auth)
