Cases developing bowel complications following radiation therapy for carcinoma of the cervix should be carefully followed up. Early detection of such a primary tumour in the patient would facilitate prompt institution of definitive therapy to the benefit of the patient. A rare case of primary carcinoma of the sigmoid colon occurring after irradiation therapy for carcinoma of the cervix is presented. (auth)
