Reversed-phase extraction chromatography using a tetra-substituted pyrazole as stationary phase

Journal Article · · J. Chromatogr., v. 84, no. 2, pp. 407-411

The use of two extractants, 1-methyl-3,5-dipentyl-4-butylpyrazole and 1- phenyl-3,5-dipentyl-4-butylpyrazole was studied in the separation by reversed- phase extraction chromatography of metal ions on silica gel. Both pyrazoles gave excellent results in most cases. Included in the metals for which results are given are: Mo, Sc, Y, rare earths, Th, Zr, and U. (JGB)
