Excitation cross sections for electron-helium scattering were calculated by the method of Bransden and Coleman (J. Phys. B. Atom. Molec. Phys.; 5: 537- 45 (1972)) in an impact parameter approximation. Results are presented for 2/sup 1/S and 2/sup 1/P excitation at angles greater than 20 deg . (auth)
