The statistical evidence for the association of QSOs with clusters or groups of galaxies of about the same redshift is examined. It is shown that, due to the uncertainty in the number density of cluster centers for all but moderately rich compact clusters, it is premature to conclude that the present evidence for the assoication of QSOs with such groups or clusters is statistically significant.
