Unitary multiperipheral models. II

Journal Article · · Phys. Rev., D, v. 8, no. 4, pp. 1134-1143

>A new class of multiperipheral-like modcls is presented for which the full multiparticle S matrix is unitary. As in previous models of this type it is crucial for s-channel unitarity that one take into account the exchange of an arbitrary number of miltiperipheral chains between the two leading particles. The new features of the present models are that multichain forces and some low subenergy effects are taken into account. As in earlier unitary models, the elastic scattering amplitude plane that plays a crucial role in enforcing the Froissart bound. It is shown that the qualitative features of these models wili be present in a wide class of multiperipheral-like models. (auth)
