Internal conversion line intensities were measured for the 35.5 keV M1 transition in /sup 125/Te with the use of different chemical compounds. Differences in valence-shell intensities lead to the evaluation of electron densities at the nucleus and to an interpretation of Moessbauer chemical isomer shifts. (auth)
