In-beam electron conversion from yrast levels of $sup 72$ $sup 74$ $sup 76$ $sup 78$Se, $sup 78$ $sup 80$ $sup 82$ $sup 84$Kr, $sup 114$ $sup 116$ $sup 118$ $sup 120$ $sup 122$ $sup 124$ $sup 126$Te, and $sup 130$ $sup 132$ $sup 134$ $sup 136$ $sup 138$Ce excited by ($alpha$,xn)
A new in-beam electron spectrometer was used to measure electron conversion intensities of cascade transitions between yrast levels of the nuclei listed above. A few 2/sup +'/ yields 2/sup +/ transitions were also measured. Altogether, 103 electron lines were measured during and between cyclotron bursts of 25-62-MeV alpha particles. The conversion coefficients, based on gamma intensities from previous work at this laboratory, are compatible with the assignments of all but one of these transitions previously studied in this laboratory The exception is the 1015-keV transition in /sup 78/Kr, earlier obscured by a 1013-keV transition due to Al. These yrast level energies are correlated with a semiempirical model. The complementary nature of measurements of in--beam angular distributions of gamma rays and measurements of electron conversion coefficients is discussed. (auth)
