Translated fmm Teploenergetika; 19: No. 9, 2-6(1972). Some currert problems of convective heat transfer which are of importance to thermal power stations, including nuclear power plants, are examined, their present status is characterized, and prospects for solving these problems in the future are discussed. Among the problems discussed is the need for more information on fluid motion and heat transfer in complex heat transfer systems, such as reactors and heat exchangers with complicated channel shapes, in order to intensify the heat transfer processes; gas flows at high temperature and plasma flows at low temperature; the protection of structures against gas flow at high temperature; heat transfer processes in MHD flows; heat transfer with laminar and turbulert flow; and the mathematical modeling of heat transfer conditions.
