Some of the properties of film and vision which affect radiographic sensitivity are discussed. Values of obtainable equivalent penetrameter sensitivity are given for some practical conditions when radiographing 1/4-to 2- in.-thick steel with x-rays and 1- to 6-in. -thick steel with /sup 60/Co. Limitations to calculations of sensitivity for other conditions are given based on these results. (auth)
