Calibration of hysteresis loses in hard superconductors (in Russian)

In creating efficient superconducting materials for operation in slowly varying magnetic fields (~1 Hz) it is necessary to take into account hysteresis losses associated with the irreversibility of the magnetization process. The hysteresis losses are a function of the external field. A constant coefficient can be calculated by determining the magnetization as a function of external field for a superconductor of the first kind (lead). This method of calibration was then used to determine hystcresis losses occurring in wire samples made of NT- 60 alloy. (SJR)
