Certain characteristics of inelastic proton--nucleon interactions at 200 GeV/c

Translated from Zh. Eksp. Teor. Fiz., Pis'ma Red.; 17: No. 12, There were 294 proton-proton and 337 proton--neutron quasifree inelastic collisions out of 4078 events of inelastic interaction of protons with momentum 200 GeV, found in 1435 m of proton tracks in nuclear emulsion separated. Analysis of the angular characteristics of the secondary charged relativistic particles shows that the showers are anisotropic up to maximum multiplicity and are inhomogeneous, probably as a result of the tendency of the particle to cluster.
