Change in properties of hard alloy WC--Co with deformation and return of these properties in annealing. I (in Russian)

Some physical and mechanical properties of the hard alloy WC --Co as affected by preliminary deformation are considered. It is shown that deformation of WC -Co alloys by a uniaxial compression results in an increase in coercive force, electrical resistivity stress at the beginning of yield, width growth of x- raydiffraction lines for carbide and cobalt phases, and decrease of bending strength. The change in these properties is established to depend on the alloy structure and composition. The observed changes in the properties are explained by simultaneous development of the processes of hardening and loss of hardness in deformation of the hard alloy. (tr-auth)
