Probabilities for population of rotational levels in electron excitation of diatomic molecules (in Russian)

By employing the rotational group representations the cross sections for excitation of rotational levels are expressed in the adiabatic approximation in terms of j-symbols and quantities characterizing electron scattering by a molecule with a fixed nuclear position. Formulas are also presented for the case when the born approximation is applicable and the cross section depends only on the difference of the momenta of the incident and scattered electrons. (auth)
