Threshold photoneutron cross section for $sup 60$Ni and $sup 56$Fe

The absolute differential cross sections of /sup 60/Ni( gamma ,n) and Fe( gamma ,n) we re measured near the thresholds for /sup 60/Ni and /sup 56/fe using time-of-flight techniques to determine the neutron energies. The measurements were taken at 93 deg to the incident bremsstrahlung beam. Two measurements recoil nuclei (Cr-52) in a vanadium source, GRS at the 1780 keV level of Si-28, GRS of 1594 keV gamma quanta of La-140 in Ce-140 nuclei, determining the slowing down of recoil atoms in rubidium metal by GRS, GRS of 1293 and 1370 keV gamma quanta from the decay of Na-24 and In-116 in Sn-116 and Mg-24 nuclei, slowing down distance of recoil atoms as a function of the internuclear distance in metals, and GRS with sources in the form of various compounds.
