9/2$sup +$[624] ground state rotational band in $sup 183$Os and in the adjacent isotones $sup 181$W and $sup 179$Hf
The /sup 182/W( alpha ,3n) reaction is used to populate the 9/2/sup +/ 624 ground state band in /sup 183/Os up to the band member with spin 33/2. The deviations of the rotational energies from the I(I+I) rule are significantly more pronounced in /sup 183/Os than those of the earlier investigated 9/2/sup +/ STA624! ground bands in /sup 181/W and /sup 1779/Hf. A monotonic t rend of increasing energy perturbation towards higher atomic number Z is thus established for the three N = 107 isotones. The energies and transition probabilities of the 9/2/sup +/STA624! band in the three nuclei can be reproduced in a conventional seven-band (four parameter) Coriolis calculation provided the theoretical matrix elements are reduced.
