Tbe Annual Report of tbe Atomic Energy Board is presented. The search for nuclear materials continued and was facilitated by the development of an automatically recording scintillation counter coupled to a cyclometer. Further advances were made in the chemical extraction of urarium from ores and instrumentation has been developed to control many of the processes. Work on advanced fast reactor fuels will enter a new stage with the construction of an integrated glove-box line in which batches of advanced fuels can be prepared and fuel pins assembled for irradiation purposes. Economic and enviromental studies on the introduction of nuclear pcwsr were carried out. The use of isotopes in specific applications was actively encouraged. Work on the fundamental studies progressed satisfactorily. In the computer section a new IBM System/37O Model 155 IH computer was installed. Titles of pub- . lications axe listed. (INIS)
