The equations governing the nonradial pulsations of general-relativistic stellar models are shown to form a fourth-order system, rather than a fifth order system as was believed previously. Incorrect statements about the application of boundary conditions at the stellar surface are also rectified. The errors corrected here do not invalidate any of the final results obtained in previous papers of this series. (auth)
