Pressure suppression system for a nuclear reactor safety vessel (in German)
A pressure suppression system for a safety vessel is described. It consists of a pressure enclosure of steel or concrete for a liquid-cooled nuclear reactor with a condensation chamber with toroidal floor (flooring, platform, ceiling) in the form of a circular cylinder in the interior of which parallel to the axis, not filling the entire cylinder, is found the pressure reservoir with a biological shield. The upper toroidal platform is crossed by the condensation pipes reaching the water, characterized by the following combination of characteristics: for the protection of walls subjected to pressure, a concrete casing is provided; the toroidal platforms are provided with pressure crossbeams; and the lower part of the condensation tubes is provided with a mooring where the sheet metal baffle plates are fastened.
