Laves phases in systems of transition metals of the IV--VIII groups of the periodic system (in Russian)

With use of x-ray (at room and elevated temperatures), differential thermal, microstructural, and durometric methods of analysis, a systematic investigation was made of the phase structure of alloys near the composition RX/ sub 2/ where R is Ti, Zr, Hf, Nb, and Ta and X is V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Mo, W, and Re. The regularities in the formation of different types of the Laves phase ( lambda /sub 1/, lambda /su b 2/, lambda /sub 3/) were thoroughly analyzed in dependence on the position in the periodic system of the components forming them.
