Application of the ALICE general-purpose image processing system to karyotyping chromosomes

Radiological and Environmental Research Division annual report, July 1972-June 1973. The ALICE general-purpose image processing system was developed using a digital computer as an aid to karyotyping of chromosome spreads of cells from patients with /sup 226/Ra body burdens. Short descriptions of the system and the karyotyping procedure are given. (CH)
