Multigroup neutron transport theory in a semi-infinite medium (in German)

A new method is proposed for the exact solution of the multigroup neutron transport equation for transport problems in a plane semiinfinite medium. The transport equation together with the corresponding boundary conditions has been converted into a set of integral equations for the source functions the resolvent of which is reduced to the determination of H-matrices. For the H- matrices linear singular and nonlinear integral equations as well as a set of linear constraints have been derived. As an example the exact solutions for the albedo problem, the Milne problem, and the resolvent function have been derived. 22 references. (auth)
