Thesis. Simple and coincidence gamma ray spectra measurements were used to study the decay of /sup 56/Co; 14 gamma transitions having the following energies were identified: 263.9, 411.5, 487.7, 486.6, and 3369.5 keV, together with the following lines whose existence has not yet been confirmed 1797.2, 2273.6, 2310.4, 2362.2, 2657.8, and 2960.1 keV. The measurements confirmed the existence of the following excited levels of /sup 56/Fe: 846.7, 2084.7, 3122.4, 4048.7, analyze the /sup 56/F level scheme. In this scheme, families of collective levels are observed adjacent to a certain number of intrinsic levels. These families resemble the quasi-rotational bands found for numerous nuclei which are not very deformed. The recent theory of Mariscotii, Scharff-Goldhaber and Buck can be used to interpret this phenomenon. (auth)
