Recent results on the infrared spectroscopy of clusters containing hydrogen-bonded aggregates will be described. The double-resonance technique of resonant ion-dip infrared spectroscopy is used to obtain infrared spectra of size-selected benzene-(solvent){sub n} neutral clusters in the O-H, N-H, and C-H stretch regions. The hydrogen-bonding interactions in the clusters are probed most sensitively via the O-H stretch infrared absorptions, which exhibit frequency shifts over hundreds of wavenumbers depending on the number and type of hydrogen bonds involved in the clusters.
