Spectroscopic studies of thorium oxalate compounds (in Russian)

The infrared absorption spectra (400-4000 cm/sup -1/) were studied for various thorium oxalate compounds. Reference is made to some group characteristic frequencies. It was shown that in all compounds studied, the state of the oxalate group was the same as in complexes with bidentate oxalate groups. The thoriumoxygen bond of the oxalate group is apparently covalent. (tr- auth)
