Refractive index and density variations in pure liquids. A new theoretical relation

The sum of the large and small isothermal terms is the new final expression of the density fluctuation of the refractive index. This was deduced from the Lorentz-Lorenz equation and from the calculation of the partial derivatives of n{sup 2}. This new equation works better than the empirical Eykman`s rule. 30 refs., 1 fig., 2 tabs.
