Crossing in the physics of the light cone

Conference ·
OSTI ID:4369560
A brief review is given of the direct applications of light-cone techniques; these include total annihilation into hardrons, massive mu -pair production in pp collisons, and deep inelastic electron and neutrino scattering off protons. The crossing problem is formulated for the simple case of deep inelastic electron-positron annihilation into one hadron plus anything, and the results of a general analysis are described. Suggestions are found from the basic ideas of LC physics for laying down a scheme to extract the analyticity properties of LC amplitudes, which are needed to perform the continuation to crossed channels. These ideas are then applied to the process e/sup +/e/sup -/ yields h + anything. (LBS)
