Data are presented on the radioactivity in environmental samples collected from various locations within the Hanford plant boundaries during 1971. Data are included on: the total alpha activity and content of /sup 90/Sr and tritium in samples of Columbia River water; the total BETA activity in samples of drinking water and estimates of the radiation dose to the gastrointestinal tract of man ingesting the water; the alpha , BETA , and gamma activity in surface waters; the total gamma ' acsup 241/Am, /sup 24/Na, and /sup 137/Cs in tissues from waterfowl, gamebirds, deer, and small mammals feeding on the area; the total alpha and BETA activity and content of /sup 131/I in surface air; and the radioactivity in air filters and samples of vegetation.
