Effect of pressure on the crystalline electric field levels of superconducting La/sub 1-x/Tb/sub x/Al$sub 2$

The pressure dependence of the superconducting transition temperature (dT/sub c//dP) is smaller for La/sub 1-x/Tb/sub x/Al/sub 2/ than for LaAl/sub 2/. The difference is attributed to an increase with pressure of the crystalline electric field energies experienced by the Tb ion. (auth)
