Multiple Radionuclide Demonstration of a Pancreatic Pseudocyst

Journal Article · · Southern Medical Journal
A pancreatic pseudocyst was delineated using a multiple radionuclide technic. A liver scan using 99mTc sulfur colloid demonstrated extrinsic pressure upon the inferior aspect of the liver. An abdominal blood pool scan using 99mTc pertechnetate outlined the mass exerting the pressure upon the liver. The diagnosis of pancreatic pseudocyst was suggested from these studies. The technic of the studies and the use in evaluating extrahepatic masses are discussed.
