From 3rd symposium on sharing of computer programs and technology in nuclear medicine; Miami, Florida, USA (16 Jun 1973) In proceedings of third symposium on sharing of computer programs and technology in nuclear medicine. The four-year experience in small-computer usage by the nuclear medicine department at a 360-bed community hospital is related. In this clinical setting, the physician's interface with the computer is the technician-produced hard-copy material that he reviews at his convenience. Processing while accessing is not necessary since approximately 100 computer-produced images are photographed each hour, and processing uses only a small proportion of the total time. Charging .00 per study, 94% of the total costs are recovered. (auth)
