Initial condition in the theory of neutron transport

The transport equation is discussed for neutron density in a nonmultiplying medium assuming a preset initial distribution. The macroscopic scattering cross sections of the medium and the density of neutron sources are considered to be general functions of position, angle, energy, and time. The results concenring the existence and the uniqueness of the solution are summarized in two fundamental theorems. (auth)
