A bibliography of 290 references containing measured absolutevalue photon total cross section data above 10 eV is presented, covering the period 1909 to June l971. An index by element (Z = 1 to Z = 94) and energy range, characterizing experiments according to source, detector, and number of data points, is included. Graphs are presented for 17 elements (Z = 1 to Z = 92) over the energy range 100 eV to 10 MeV comparing some recent attenuation-coefficient tabulations STAby the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory (Livermore), Nationai Bureau of Standards, Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory, and others! with the above documented data points.
