Hard x rays from the region of Aquila XR-1

Journal Article · · Nature (London) Phys. Sci., v. 245, no. 142, pp. 37-38
What is believed to be the first evidence for hard x-ray emission from Aq1 XR-1, or the region close io it, is here reported, together with spectral results in the energy range l4 to 50 keV. The observations were made with a balloon-borne telescope flow from Hyderabad on March 9, 1973, to a ceiling altitude of 4 g/cm/sup 2/. (UK)
