Radial velocity measurements of the Cetus Arc nebulosity around Loop II

Journal Article · · Astron. Astrophys., v. 26, no. 2, pp. 279-285
OSTI ID:4360058
Observations of the Cetus Arc Nebula were made using a photographic Fabry- Perot interferometer, to obtain H alpha radial velocities of over 100 points on the nebula. The velocities were determined to an accuracy of 5 km s/ sup -1/ or better for positions which are known to within 1'. For a region of the arc between alpha =4h 0m delta = +2 deg and 4h 15m delta = +9 deg a mean radial velocity of +4.3 km s/sup -1/ plus or minus 0.6 km s/sup -1/ was obtained. (auth)
