Title: Quasi-real electron method in high energy quantum electrodynamics

Journal Article · · Nucl. Phys., B, v. B65, no. 2, pp. 381-396

An electron pole approximation is presented, which can be used to calculate cross sections in high energy quantum electrodynamics. A general derivation is given and some applications are considered: (i) bremsstrahlung in electron- electron (positron) collisions at large angles; (ii) photoproduction and electroproduction of a pair of particles on electrons at large angles; (iii) photon emission at large angles when the cross section does not decreaae with energy (iv) total cross section for muon pair production in electron--positron collisions via one photon. The case of polarized particles is also discussed. (auth)
