Transfer of primary lymphoid cells to irradiated animals (in French)

Journal Article · · Arch. Int. Physiol. Biochim., v. 81, pp. 206-208
OSTI ID:4356951
ABS>Lymphoid cells were obtained from rabbits hyperimmunized against TMV and characterized genetically by the allotype A1 on their immunoglobulin. Intravenous injections of the cells were given to irradiated rabbits injected with TMV and with the allotype A3 on their immunoglobulin. Blood was removed from the recipient rabbits at intervals and the antibodies were purified. Results showed that during the first week after injection of lymphoid cells immunogiobulins with the donor allotype A1 appeared in the serum of recipient rabbits. These immunoglobulins did not contain TMV antibodies. TMV antibodies with the allotype A3 were synthesized by the recipients. (HLW)
