A number of practical aspects of neutron dosimetry in biology and medicine are discussed; in particular: the variations of absorbed dose at interfaces of materials of different atomic composition, experimental techniques employed to determine the kerma in soft tissue, measurements of the distribution of absorbed dose due to neutrons and gamma rays in tissue equivalent phantoms.
